Structure of AIPP The General Assembly is the supreme body of the organization and meets at least once every four years to decide on the direction of AIPP. Executive Council (EC) is the governing body of the organization. EC is composed of the Secretary General chosen by the General Assembly and 6 members, one from each region. The President of the EC is chosen by the EC members from amongst them. The Secretary General is the chief functionary of the organization and supervises the daily working of the secretariat. International links and links with other local organisations AIPP has direct links to other indigenous organisations in other regions (Africa, Pacific, Arctic, Russia, North America, and Latin America) through the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity and Global Caucuses convened during United Nations meetings.
